Tomas Deroo is 18 when info-lux.com publishes his portrait in February 2026. Originally from Leuze-en-Hainaut, he is a contestant for Mister Région Wallonne.
He is following two courses at once: a BTS (vocational diploma) in Services et Prestations des Secteurs Sanitaire et Social, and dance training. As a dancer, he has taken part in shows by Lauryne Créatrice, among others.

Tomas speaks with emotion about his roots in Leuze-en-Hainaut. He loves the authenticity and solidarity of his region; for him, Wallonia is a place where people still come first.
To him, becoming Mister Région Wallonne means embodying stories that are sometimes difficult but full of hope. He wants to be an ambassador for courage and dignity, and to give a voice to those going through hard times.
His childhood and teenage years were marked by violence, time in care and great instability. He wants to prove that a difficult past does not define the future: his entry is part of a process of rebuilding and passing on what he has learned.
In September 2025, he enters the Mister Class Val de Scarpe pageant in France. He isn’t elected, but the experience helps him grow: every step counts, even those that look like failures.

Dance has been central to his life for nine years. He also works with various photographers to explore a range of artistic worlds.
A volunteer at La Goélette school, working with people with disabilities, he runs inclusive dance workshops there alongside physiotherapist Véronique Tack.
Tomas describes himself as resilient, empathetic, sensitive and determined. His message to young people: never let your past define you, because scars also tell a story of strength.
For him, the role of Mister goes beyond appearance: it is about speaking up for inclusion, respect and kindness. His dream is to open an inclusive dance school, open to everyone, whatever their disability or background.
