On Saturday 13 April 2024, in the shopping arcade of the Leclerc in Sarrebourg, Amélia Bur is crowned Miss Moselle 2024 from twelve contestants. She is 23. Her runners-up are Julie Knob and Emma Fernandez.
Moved to tears, she dedicates her win to her family and friends, and pays tribute to her fellow contestants, “incredible young women, each deserving the title in her own way”.

I want to be a Miss who is close to people and approachable, and to represent the values of our beautiful Moselle as best I can.

In October 2024, Amélia is 24, lives in Metz and works as a marketing officer for an airline. She studied in various regions and as far afield as Lisbon, in Portugal. Then she came back to Lorraine, the region closest to her heart.
It’s a region with many different riches. We are lucky to be able to get away easily, with plenty of green spaces, and we have one major advantage: we are a border region.

She mentions Saint-Étienne Cathedral and the Governor's Palace in Metz, Place Stanislas in Nancy, the Lac des Corbeaux in the Vosges and the Verdun Memorial. In her view, the proximity of Germany and Luxembourg brings “real richness in cultural diversity and social mix”.

One of her best friends dreams of being a Miss, but the 1.70 m height requirement rules her out. She lives the adventure through Amélia and is one of her most loyal supporters. One day, a friend told her: “It feels like you’ve always done this, it’s made for you!”
Family, friends, colleagues, even the shopkeepers she knows: Amélia says she is grateful to everyone who has supported her from the start.

For Amélia, the most important quality in a Miss is how she carries herself with others. Hence her rule of the three “S”s: simplicité, spontanéité and sympathie (simplicity, spontaneity and friendliness). She has learnt to channel her nerves through positive affirmation and preparation.
When it comes to fashion, she tries a bit of everything depending on the trend of the moment, and always accessorises her outfits. The most important thing, she says, is to feel comfortable in your own skin and to accept yourself.
In life, you have to dare! Girls, young women, dream big, don't put up barriers, don't rely on how others see you […] Believe in yourself, challenge yourself, and create your own opportunity to seize your chance.

Too many young people suffer insults that leave a mark: Amélia wants to take up the cause of mental health, in schools and at charity events, so that everyone stops comparing themselves and stands tall with what makes them unique. She would also like to set up a project for children from different backgrounds, in iconic places across Lorraine.

On 12 October 2024, in the Tiger World hall at Amnéville Zoo, she is contestant no. 11 of sixteen, with Miss France 2024, Eve Gilles, in attendance. Assia Roosz Tomenti is crowned Miss Lorraine 2024; Amélia Bur finishes fourth runner-up.
In the audience that evening, Estelle Heine had come to support her: she had met Amélia as a client at the beauty salon where she works in Metz. The evening made her want to enter in turn, she told info-lux.com in December 2024.

During her year as Miss Moselle, Amélia and her runners-up also attended the Miss Meurthe-et-Moselle 2024 election in Nancy. On 21 December 2024, at the B’est in Farébersviller, she handed her crown to Nina Damblant, the new Miss Moselle 2025.
