At the start of January 2025, Carla Mastrorillo is 20. She has been a care assistant for two years, is in her first year of nursing school, and lives in Serémange-Erzange, a town in Moselle with a steelmaking past.
She then entered Miss Élégance Nationale Lorraine as contestant no. 6. In her words, she wanted to live a unique experience, step out of her comfort zone, build her self-confidence and represent Moselle.

The adventure begins without her: her cousin signs her up for the regional casting without telling her. Carla is surprised at first, then sees it as a sign, she told info-lux.com in April 2025.
Today, I get up every day with extra motivation: to make those who believed in me proud.

Her family and friends have supported her from the start. Her friends aren't really into beauty pageants, but to anyone who is hesitating, her advice is to go for it.

She has been drawn to caring for others since childhood. After qualifying as a care assistant, she went on to study to become a state-registered nurse. Her job has taught her to stay calm and positive under pressure, which helps her handle stress.
I always knew I wanted to be close to people, to bring them comfort, a smile, a presence.

At weekends, she swaps her work coat for a feminine style. For her, elegance is first and foremost about respect for yourself and for others.
Being elegant means respecting others, listening, and offering a helping hand without expecting anything in return.

At the start of January 2025, the eight contestants rehearse at the Château de Nilvange with coach Justine Mansart, Valérie Danse for the catwalk and Nanda, the regional delegate. Michel Fouarge takes their official portraits.
On 18 January, in front of around a hundred people, they parade in evening gowns, swimsuits and wedding dresses. At the end of the evening, Carla Mastrorillo is crowned Miss Élégance Nationale Lorraine 2025, ahead of Noa Hamama, first runner-up, and Cécile Ponzellini, second runner-up.

Her cause: prevention and access to healthcare. She supports the Leucémie Espoir association, as its ambassador in spring 2025; the account of the final notes that leukaemia has affected her family.
It’s a cause that touches me deeply. Health is the foundation of everything. Every child, every adult deserves a future free from pain.
Carla Mastrorillo, April 2025

In spring, the regional committee prepares her for the national contest: catwalk lessons, photo sessions, appearances at shopping centres, carnivals and charity events. She is candidate no. 11 in Miss Élégance Nationale 2025.
In Lorraine, access to healthcare is a priority, a precious legacy I want to highlight.

Her Lorraine tastes of quiche and has the look of Place Stanislas in Nancy, especially at nightfall. Her role model is Zendaya: “To me she embodies modern elegance: strong, independent, but always with respect for others and for herself.”

On 2 May 2025, in Pau, twenty regional Miss titleholders compete for the national title before a jury chaired by Chantal Goya. Aïsséa Esprabens, Miss Aquitaine, wins. Carla Mastrorillo, in her very first pageant, comes home with the sash of sixth national runner-up.

In June, More Followers photographs her with the Lorraine misses at Maison Heler, the Metz hotel designed by Philippe Starck. There, she looks back on her year.
My experience as a Miss Élégance Nationale contestant was a journey of discovery and of pushing my limits. It gave me confidence and elegance and brought wonderful encounters, while strengthening my commitment to the causes close to my heart. A truly unforgettable adventure!

What comes next stays in Lorraine. On 7 February 2026, in Longuyon, she meets the public at the election of her successor. On 28 November 2026, in Guénange, she is due to sit on the jury of the regional final, chaired by Michel Fouarge.
