Célia is 19 when she enters the running for Miss Liège, part of the Miss Belgique 2027 pageant. If she could keep only one quality, it would be the ability to listen.
She opened up to Noémie Martin, an info-lux.com contributor and a former contestant herself, for a portrait published on 10 August 2026, ahead of the provincial heats. In the Province of Liège, three are in the running: Célia, Lara Honnay and Alizée.
Listening above all
For Célia, listening means taking the time to understand other people’s point of view and being there when it counts. She sees it as an essential everyday quality.
She will be in the job she hopes to do, too: a childcare worker in a nursery for infants.
A horse rider since the age of 4
It is a quieter talent. Célia has been riding since the age of 4 and feels very much at ease with horses.
This passion taught her patience, perseverance and self-confidence. Sport, she says, is part of her identity and has helped her grow a great deal.
Animal protection
Her cause close to her heart includes the Gaia association. Célia is convinced that animals deserve respect and kindness.
She wants to help change attitudes, to fight mistreatment and abandonment.
