Portraits: Emilie Gomes, Miss in Hettange-Grande: “Dare to step out of your comfort zone”

Emilie Gomes is 26 when info-lux.com features her in December 2024 as a contestant for Miss Moselle 2025. She lives in Hettange-Grande, in northern Moselle, close to the Luxembourg border.

She is passionate about aeronautics, travel and animals. On the day of the pageant, info-lux.com introduced her as a health, safety and environment engineer.

Three titles in 2024

On 9 March 2024, aged 25, she is contestant no. 6 in Miss Semécourt 2024, at the Aushopping shopping centre. Ilona Parison is crowned. Then on 13 April, she competes as no. 7 in Miss Moselle 2024, in Sarrebourg. Amélia Bur wins the title.

She returns in December for Miss Moselle 2025, keen to represent a cross-border département and to enjoy a human adventure. Her family and friends were delighted to hear she was taking part.

Fossils, forts and villages

To discover the Moselle, she recommends the Hettange-Grande geological nature reserve for its scientific interest, the Maginot Line, the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the village of Rodemack and the citadel of Thionville.

The cause closest to her heart is protecting natural areas, such as those in and around Hettange-Grande. If she became Miss, she would like to get involved in protecting this local natural heritage.

Simple and elegant

Fashion plays a moderate part in her daily life, as she describes herself as simple, but she loves it for its power of expression. She describes her style as elegant, with a touch of vintage and simplicity. To manage stress, she focuses on the positive, takes time for herself and does sport.

On 21 December 2024, at the B’est shopping centre in Farébersviller, she is contestant no. 2 in Miss Moselle 2025. Nina Damblant wins the title.
