Jean-Philippe Dubois is 23 when info-lux.com meets him in October 2023. This young Belgian actor is aiming high: from the local stage to international cinema screens.
My biggest dream is to act alongside the greats of French, Belgian and perhaps even American cinema.

Early days in Péruwelz
It all begins at Arrêt 59 in Péruwelz, in a small troupe of ten people. He then joins the Académie de Péruwelz, where he studies.
Then one experience led to another. He appeared as an extra in a music video shot at the Conservatoire de musique de Tournai, took part in the TV shows Les Douze Coups de Midi and Tout le monde veut prendre sa place, and even hosted a children’s carnival.
A troupe in search of venues
In 2023, he acts in a theatre troupe with Aurélie Poelvoorde. The troupe is still looking for somewhere to perform.
We’re always looking for theatres where we can stage our plays.

Alongside this, he is training in film. His projects range from theatre to film and television.
For the public
He is keen to stay close to his audience. He also collects autographs: by 2023, his collection already numbers more than a hundred.
I try to do my best so that my audience can enjoy what I do, whether it’s my shows, my films, etc.

What’s next
I fully intend not to stop there. The entertainment world is vast and I still have a lot to discover and to give.
