Laureen Louis is 22 in September 2022. She lives in Pompey, a small town near Nancy in Meurthe-et-Moselle, and is entering the Miss Small Beauty Grand-Est 2022 pageant.
The pageant is open to women aged 18 to 30 who are under 1.70 m tall. For these contestants, charm and elegance aren’t measured in centimetres.
This year, I decided to enter the Miss Small Beauty Grand-Est 2022 pageant, because it's an experience that means a lot to me: the chance to represent my region whatever my height and weight.

Sashes and backstage moments
She knows beauty committees from both sides. As a contestant, she was named first runner-up in Mademoiselle Meurthe-et-Moselle in 2019, then fourth runner-up in Mademoiselle Lorraine in 2020. In 2021, she became Miss Charme & Beauté Lorraine.
On 19 February 2022, at the salle Raugraff in Nancy, she hands her crown to Mélissa Blaise. All year, she has prepared and chaperoned the contestants. On the night of the pageant, she co-hosts the show and walks with them in a red evening gown.
Passing it on
What she hopes a title will bring, in 2022, fits in a single sentence.
I truly hope I’ll have the chance to pass on my values to young girls in my region, and even my country, through the title of Miss or runner-up.

Away from pageants, she works as a property consultant. She has also sung and drawn since she was very little.
I’m a very versatile woman, full of positivity. Since I was very young, I’ve sung and drawn in my spare time.

In front of the lens
Lou is also a photo model. She did her first photo shoots at 15 and found far more than a hobby in them.
It was an instant revelation for me: being able to create a character and a mood through photography, but also to open up and accept the person I am.
