Leia is 20 when info-lux.com interviews her in September 2022. She is studying veterinary medicine at UNamur and is entering the Miss Namur contest, with her sights set on Miss Belgique.
Originally from Brussels, she has lived for more than 13 years in Floreffe, a village she describes as quiet and family-friendly, with its abbey, home to the Esperanzah! festival.
Curious about everything
She describes herself as ambitious and curious. She loves discovering, travelling, learning and trying new things.
A parachute jump certainly won't scare me, so what about Miss Belgique?

Hesitation, then a yes
Yet she hesitated. Not for lack of wanting to: her studies already took up a lot of her time.
After a few days of thinking it over and talking about it, I told myself it was an opportunity worth taking and that, whatever happened, it would still be an experience.

Beauty has many definitions
For Leia, representing her province is not just about beauty but also about personality. You have to, she says, “put your heart and drive into it, and overcome your weaknesses to get there”.
Beauty means something different in everyone’s eyes. We all have our strengths and flaws, and there’s no need to change your personality to please the whole world.

In September 2022, she says she is determined to see the adventure through, whatever happens. The Wallonia provincial final is then scheduled for 18 September at the Plopsaland theatre in La Panne. She thanks her family, her friends and her four sponsors, who made her flyers possible.
