Margaux
A marketing graduate with a passion for dance, she dreamed of a Miss Belgique from Luxembourg. At the end of August 2015, she was the one who left with the Miss Luxembourg 2016 sash.

Margaux Leclère was 21 when she applied for Miss Luxembourg in 2015. She comes from Neuvillers, a small village near Libramont.
At the time she had just graduated in marketing and planned to go on to a master’s in management at the University of Namur. Miss Luxembourg chooses the province’s representative for the Miss Belgique 2016 pageant.

My passions are fashion, photo shoots, catwalk shows, but above all dance.
Margaux, August 2015
Contestant no. 12, she is already aiming higher than the province. A Miss Belgique from Luxembourg would be, in her words, “a little girl's dream come true”.
To introduce herself, Margaux starts with her province. Near her home, Libramont and its agricultural fair; further afield, Bastogne and its War Museum, Marche-en-Famenne, and Durbuy, which she calls “the smallest town in the world”.
The Province of Luxembourg has so much to offer, which is why I want to represent it as well as I can. Its woods and forests are calm and restful, an ideal place to recharge.

On the night of the final, Margaux walks with badge no. 12, in a white lace dress. When the results are announced, she is crowned Miss Luxembourg 2016 and also wins the Miss Public title.
Géraldine Krebs, from Arlon, is her first runner-up, and Amandine Onraet her second runner-up. The Crown Card goes to Nathalie Champenois.

I’m a candidate for Miss Luxembourg 2016 and hope to go even further. Why not a Miss Belgique from Luxembourg?
Margaux, August 2015, before the final

On 16 July 2016, the website Missitems.be takes some forty contestants and Walloon Miss titleholders on a day out in Bruges. The Miss Luxembourg 2016 top 3 is among them, alongside special guest Lenty Frans, Miss Belgique 2016.
On the programme: a seven-hour walk, around ten stops and a praline-making demonstration at the Choco Story museum. Photographer Werner Heselmans follows the day.
