Margot De Meuter was 18 when info-lux.com interviewed her in September 2022, a few weeks before the Miss Belgique final. She hopes to win the Miss Liège title, then be selected at national level.
She lives in Embourg, a village in the Province of Liège that she finds beautiful. It is also where she has just finished secondary school, at the Collège du Sartay.

She sees her future in political science, specialising in geopolitics. She is convinced that with ambition and perseverance a great deal can change, and that many young people think as she does.
It’s up to us to prove that we are capable of making big changes.
Margot De Meuter, September 2022
Thanks to her father, she grew up surrounded by motor racing and beautiful cars. That gave her two great passions: cars and Formula 1. In 2022, she also goes karting regularly at Liège Karting in Grivegnée.

Why this competition? Her answer is frank.
Becoming Miss Liège would be a great way of getting my own back on life. I’ve known low self-confidence, depression and other people’s mockery.
Margot De Meuter, September 2022
Getting this far is, she says, “an unimaginable stroke of luck, especially when it’s a little girl’s dream”.
She thanks her mother, who has always supported and encouraged her, her sponsors, including the Bigoudi Coiffure salon and her father, a self-employed gardener and landscaper, as well as her loved ones and everyone who voted for her.
