In January 2025, Stacy Byll-Cataria is 18. Born in Metz, of Ivorian, Beninese and Ghanaian descent, she is in her final year of secondary school and is entering Miss Élégance Nationale Lorraine as contestant no. 7.
My name is Stacy. I’m 18 and I’m in my final year of secondary school, in the management sciences and technology stream (STMG).
Stacy Byll-Cataria, January 2025
She wants to step out of her comfort zone and learn to trust herself. She had always dreamed of a pageant that stands for such values. It was her friend who introduced her to it, and who encouraged her to come along.

She has watched Metz change since childhood, and it is where she feels she belongs, with a feeling she finds nowhere else. To a visitor, she recommends the botanical garden, the cathedral and the Porte des Allemands: peaceful places steeped in history.
In Lorraine, she also loves the pastures and the farm animals of the countryside, and wants to showcase the region's talent, cultural richness and friendliness.

For her, becoming Miss was a big step in her brand project. She wanted to be the voice of those who dream of entering a beauty pageant but don’t dare sign up, through lack of confidence or because they think they don’t meet the criteria.
Her causes are discrimination, racism and harassment, as well as free schooling for all. The account of the final recalls that she has herself been a victim of racism and harassment, and that she fights every day to prove the worth of her aspirations.
Be yourself! Be the book you would have wanted to read, remain a source of inspiration and a light for those close to you, and above all never stop trying: you are worth more than those who sit back and criticise you.

To fight stress, Stacy meditates and sings. Weight training also helps her handle the pressure.
Fashion and make-up let her express herself and stand out. Her style changes from day to day: streetwear on Monday, a skirt and thigh-high boots on Saturday. She often changes her haircut too, following trends and her mood.
To her friends who also dream of becoming Miss, she says go for it without overthinking: you only live once.

The report on the final presents her with a clear goal: to become a community manager, a path photography and video led her towards. A keen pastry maker, she has just opened her own shop.
On 18 January 2025, at the château de Nilvange, the eight contestants parade in evening gowns, swimsuits and wedding dresses. The title goes to Carla Mastrorillo, ahead of Noa Hamama and Cécile Ponzellini.
