In December 2024, Valentine Jacques is 28 and enters the Miss Moselle 2025 pageant. Miss France, broadcast every year on TF1, is a ritual in her family.
She already knows the stage: she took part in beauty pageants in 2016. Older and more confident, she wants to take on this new challenge and make the most of the adventure.

After two years in Canada, Valentine changed careers: she became a graphic designer and has worked in the field since graduating in October 2024.
Travel changed her relationship with possessions. Setting off with a single suitcase, she realised she didn’t need an overflowing wardrobe. Day to day, her style is fairly classic; for going out, she picks more playful outfits.

She lives in Hoste, the village of her childhood memories, flanked by two ponds. She mentions the café-grocery Le Hoschta, which champions local produce, and the Maison Guth, a flower-decked 17th-century building.
From Canada, nature means a lot to her: her “land of ponds”, the Barrois quarry, the Rhodes wildlife park. She also knows Lorraine beyond Moselle: she studied in Lunéville, worked as a guide on the Verdun battlefield and regularly explores the Vosges.
Taking part in this kind of contest is a rewarding experience. Becoming Miss lets you make your voice heard and stand up for causes close to my heart. If I can help fight animal cruelty and abandonment, that would be a great victory.

She also runs a YouTube channel with advice for owners, before and after adopting small-breed dogs.
Another cause is close to her heart, within her own family: helping sick children. She would like to meet specialist doctors and raise public awareness of a rare disease.
For Valentine, a woman’s beauty lies in the depth of her soul and the values she embodies. A Miss, in her view, should have sincerity, altruism, kindness, empathy, modesty and a sense of respect.
A pageant can be stressful; she sees it as a chance to push herself. The adrenaline she feels before going on stage makes her want to live the experience again and again: that's when she feels alive. Her dream, if she wins: to go all the way to Miss Lorraine 2025 and walk the runway for a major couturier.
