In brief. From Liège, aged 24 and a fashion design graduate, Youness Nouader was the only man in the “Les talents de l’ombre” show at Lux Fashion Week 2026 in Arlon. Chest covered in black, a braid extended with hair rings: his day, from the make-up chair to the catwalk.

On 18 September 2026, at the Hall polyvalent in Arlon, Youness Nouader walked the runway bare-chested, covered in cracked black paint, with a chain of hair rings fastened to his braid. He was the only man in the “Les talents de l’ombre” show.
He is 24 at the time and lives in Liège. He has finished his fashion design studies and has “always loved the world of art”. A week after the show, he answered info-lux.com’s questions in writing.

The show by make-up artist Adeline Laubach and hairdresser Océane Van Damme set out to highlight two behind-the-scenes crafts: hairdressing and make-up. That is what won him over.
It’s the first time hair and make-up have been put in the spotlight like this, and I said yes straight away, because it had never been done before and I wanted to be the first boy to do it.

There were four of them on the podium: Nova, Marine, a young ballerina and him. “We chose them for their charisma and their presence. We already knew them and trusted them completely. Above all, we wanted attitude,” explains Adeline Laubach.
Océane Van Damme, for her part, talks about “unconventional” profiles: “their walk, their presence, their tattoos, their flaming hair, or a man in heels”. In the photos from the catwalk, Youness Nouader walks in heels.

On the day of the show, it all starts with the hair.
I started with hairdressing, then make-up, and played musical chairs: I moved from chair to chair.
Youness Nouader
He sums it up in one sentence: “I was in the chair for 2 hours, and with the touch-ups, another 10 to 15 minutes.” Around him, the team keeps going until about 20:00, says Adeline Laubach.

His make-up is by Adeline Laubach: a crackled black, from face to chest. For him, the make-up artist took a different direction from Nova’s pearly effect or Marine’s black paste and bronze leaves.
I wanted it to be dark and deconstructed. It clearly represents the shadow and the boxes we get put in; to me, it had to be that way.

The hair is by Océane Van Damme: a flat braid extended by a chain of hair rings running down the back. Like the show’s hats and wings, the rings rest on supports made with DIY materials; the rest is all hair, with no fabric at all.

Before going on stage, he had only one fear: that his hairstyle wouldn’t hold during the show. “Fortunately, my hair stayed in place, and I’m proud of that.”

“Les talents de l’ombre” comes early in the 20 o’clock show, between Made by You and the Francini_K collection. The ballerina opens the show en pointe; Youness Nouader follows straight after, ahead of Marine and Nova.
The character changed the way she walked.
My walk changed, because I had to stride with determination, with a confident gaze, proud to be on stage.
Youness Nouader

Off the podium, he describes himself frankly.
I’m a gentle, kind person who loves people, loves talking and laughing… but on stage, it’s different.

After the show, photographer Picture Flo, who had followed the team backstage and on the catwalk, photographed him in the studio. Youness Nouader made a point of thanking OZE Signature, hairdresser Océane Van Damme’s label, make-up artist Adeline and the photographer “who showed us at our best”.
