Spotted in the street, chosen by Giorgio Armani, then stopped in his tracks by a road accident: he learned photography during his rehabilitation. Today he directs models knowing what it is like on the other side of the lens.

Before picking up the camera, Michel Fouarge walked the runway for Armani and Gianfranco Ferré. Now a photographer, graphic designer and actor based in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, he directs his photo shoots knowing the other side: the hot lights, the gaze you have to hold, the moment the body stiffens.
The Armani model
According to the portrait info-lux.com published in 2021, he is in his twenties, plays guitar in a rock band and is on his way to university when a photographer stops him in the street. He says no, then eventually agrees, “just to get some nice photos”. A Brussels agency then starts giving him work.
In Paris, a major men's agency tells him he doesn't have the build. In Milan, the Riccardo G. agency sends him to the Giorgio Armani casting: more than 800 models in the queue, several rounds of selection, a jacket to slip on and five metres of catwalk. Armani picks him. Gianfranco Ferré, Gucci, Etro and magazine pages follow.
A serious road accident brings everything to a halt: several fractures and two years of rehabilitation in specialist centres. His father gives him a computer, Photoshop and his first camera. He teaches himself, nearly eight hours a day.
Five types of session
- Fashion and editorial: fashion series, covers and lookbooks for brands, designers, magazines and models.
- Portrait: portraits of artists and actors, beauty portraits.
- Advertising campaign: the commercial visual, with photography and graphic design delivered together.
- Film sets: production stills, portraits in costume, posters.
- Bridal fashion in the studio: the dress treated as a couture piece.
Studio or outdoors
The studio means fully controlled light and a built set: the territory of beauty portraits, look-books, bridal fashion and anything that must be reproducible from one image to the next. Outdoors, natural light and the location become characters in their own right: the territory of editorials, artist portraits and series that tell a story.
Fashion isn't clothing: it's drama. A living material. A stage. A way of communicating.

The photo, then the poster
A graphic designer, he often delivers both the photograph and the finished visual: poster, advert, cover. His commissions include SNCF, the City Concorde chain, and the world fencing champions photographed for the Tokyo Olympics.
Info-lux.com also mentions a collaboration with Kenzo Takada and work under the Vogue banner. A graphic designer, he illustrates the Alvion saga and has developed a technique he calls cellular art: his “Ab Nihilos” works read differently when rotated 180°.
An actor, he has appeared in In Nomine Patris (Arte), Existence, Chameleon and Phnom Penh Ground Zero. In 2024, he won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Indie Film Festival in Seville.
Series for info-lux
His series appear on info-lux.com, often in connection with the e-magazine More Followers, a partner of the site since April 2022. In 2026, he created “Codex Feminarum Libertatis” with model Morgane Macel, a nine-chapter editorial on coercive control and rebirth: five hours of shooting, six days of graphic design and writing. For “the world of show business and the circus”, photos from 2020, he brought together models Charlène, Anais, Nina and Tiina, with Anais Oury on hair and make-up, at the Ecurie la Fourasse. He also covers fashion shows: Luxembourg Fashion Week in 2024, Lux Fashion Week in Arlon in 2025.
In 2023, info-lux.com, Beauty Events and More Followers launch the “Les lectrices” casting with him, open to ages 18 to 99. Six candidates are photographed in Luxembourg, directed by choreographer Nanda, for issue 17 of the magazine.
I chose to take part in the Infolux photo competition because I was inspired by Michel Fouarge's work and wanted to seize the opportunity to appear in a well-known magazine.

Where to find him
He works all over the Grand Duchy, from Luxembourg City to Esch-sur-Alzette, Ettelbruck, Diekirch, Echternach, Grevenmacher and Wiltz, as well as in Belgium and across the Greater Region (Lorraine, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate). He does not publish rates: each session is quoted individually, depending on the number of images, the team required and the usage rights requested. His photo shoots are collected in his portfolio on info-shooting. In August 2026, he also announced a fantasy novel in the works, “Édolia, la rédemption du vampire”.
